About IPS

• Filing and/or registering of patents, trademarks, designs worldwide and and representation before national and international IP authorities during prosecution of intellectual property rights (IPR) and/or opposition proceedings

Johanna Herrmann has 25 years of experience as a patent attorney, patent engineerand patent examiner at the European Patent Office. Her main area of competence lies in the technical areas of general mechanical engineering, process engineering, material science and consumer products.  

At the EPO she examined patent applications in the area of pumps and engines. Johanna has completed an MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management. 

Johanna created a patent department as a patent engineer for a notable German automotive supplier. The technical areas covered for this assignment were plastic parts and processes for manufacturing such parts, e.g. bumpers, instrument panels, luggage compartment lids, door sills, hat rests, door side panels. 

Johanna worked in Switzerland for 6 years as a patent attorney for a global technology company. Her main responsibilities were  the prosecution of a global patent portfolio as well as handling oppositions, appeals, litigation proceedings as well as conducting searches and FTO analyses. 

Johanna founded IPS in 2012 and presently continues to develop the company as a full-service IP supplier.
